The Housing Choice Voucher  (Section 8 ) Program  is a federally funded program to help low income families to pay for safe and affordable housing. The Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority's is opening section 8 waiting list and will be accepting application. 

"The applications have to be postmarked by Sept. 20 and received by Sept. 26, 2013. A random lottery will be held on Oct. 4 at Sunnyreach Acres Community Center."  application available at  South Florida Sun-Sentinel website.

NRHA will be closing Housing Waiting List in September 2013

Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) will  be closing their Low-Income Affordable Housing Waiting List for applicants in need of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 12:00 Noon. Applications for the 1 and 2 bedroom Family Communities must be received or post-marked no later than September 12, 2013.

Independence Center Opens Waiting List for Housing Vouchers

Section 8 HCV program waiting list opens in Colorado Spring

The Independence Center is opening its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list for one day September 11th, to those who meet the

Department of Health’s (DOH) disability preference, can verify their disability and are at least 18 years of age.Applications for the waiting list can be picked up at The Independence Center (729 S. Tejon St.) from August 12th to September 10th.

Ticonderoga gets Senior affordable housing

Moses Circle Senior Apartments a brand new senior community in Ticonderoga, NY!

Residents are expected to move into the Moses Circle Senior Apartments in Ticonderoga Oct. 1, 2013. About half of the 31 units have been rented, with many applications still being reviewed. After building capacity is full, application will continue to be accepted in order to create a waiting list that will be first-come, first-serve. 

Senior citizens interested in living in the new facility, located at the site of the former Moses-Ludington Hospital on Wicker Street, can submit applications at the Lord Howe Estate office.

Rent at the new complex will be determined by income. People interested to apply call Debbie Bessette, office manager, at 585-6696 to determine their eligibility and rent. You may also visit office at 54 Adirondack Drive, Ticonderoga, NY

The City of Redding waiting list for Section 8  is now open

The Housing Authority offers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program to help low-income families pay their rent each month. The City of Redding waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher program, formerly known as Section 8 is currently open and accepting application. 

The Shasta County Housing Authority adopted a Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Shasta County Housing Authority adopted a Housing Choice Voucher Program.  This Program includes an ongoing voucher system to provide permanent rental assistance for 10 homeless veterans at a time. 

The resolution also adopted a specific policy governing eligibility for students in higher education applying for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.  The policy determines when a student is independent for eligibility purposes.

New MDHA lottery system for Public Housing

For the first time, MDHA will be accepting applications online.

The Metro Development and Housing Agency, which is in charge of federally subsidized low-income housing in Nashville, is going to a new system to select tenants. Tenants would apply online and will be placed on a preliminary list and pulled to establish a waiting list. When funding is available, applications will be randomly selected using a lottery system. Each household may only apply once for the lottery. 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Public Housing waiting list is now open and accepting application. Online applications process begins Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at 7:30 a.m. at www.nashville-mdha.org. Waiting list closes Wednesday, August 21, at 4:30 pm., for more information visit their website or call MDHA  at 615/252-8464 with any question.

The Augusta Housing Authority is currently accepting applications for the Section 8 Project Based programs for Hope House and Public Housing programs visit the city's website to apply. The waiting list is now open for all applicants 18 years and older.

MSHDA HCV Waiting List is now open

I've received a numerous of emails from people inquiring about a section 8 waiting list in Detroit, Michigan. I have not received any information about an opening date. County of San Joaquin in California open Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List on August 10, 2013

The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin open HCV waiting list on August 10, 2013. Online pre-application process is available starting August 10 at www.hacsj.com until midnight August 23, 2013. Application completed online is not require to be return by mail. Pre-applications may also be picked up at the locations listed on the county's website starting August 12, 2013 or you may continue to use the on Pre-applications process online. ALL pre-applications not submitted online must by returned by mail to P.O. Box 711, Stockton, CA  95201 and post marked no later than August 23, 2013.
