Instructions to apply for the program are as follows:
- Applicants must submit only one (1) application per household. If duplicate applications are received, the household will become ineligible and will not be placed on the waiting list. All pre-applications must be complete and legible.
- Pre-applications will be accepted by mail only to the Portland Housing Authority, 9 Chatham Court, Portland, CT 06480
- All pre-applications must be postmarked on July 23, 2013 and received by mail no later than July 30, 2013 in order to be accepted. The Authority is not responsible for non-delivery of mail. Pre-applications that are faxed, hand-delivered, emailed, or mailed to any other address than the address stated above will not be accepted.
- Only 100 pre-applications will be drawn by a random lottery on July 31, 2013. Only those selected will be mailed a complete application.
- All applicants not already working or residing in Portland or Cromwell will be required to reside in Portland or Cromwell for the first initial 12 months in the program
Pre-Applications are available at the Portland Housing Authority or by utilizing the pre-application form at the West Hartford Housing Authority website
